Drug abuse as defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders mean it is a negative pattern of using a substance that leads to a number of problems that include needing more use of a drug to get intoxicated, difficulties that occur when the effects of the drug wear off, using more of a substance or for longer time period, and other life problems because of their use of drugs.

Statistics confirm that today more than four million women in US are addicted to drugs. This includes women of all culture, race, and even ages.

It is proved that drug abuse in women leads to dangerous health issues as the female physiology is considerably different than men.

Drug abuse is a serious illness, which is not cured easily.

Every state in the USA have their own set of drug testing policies that make it mandatory to test their employees for the presence of the use of controlled substances. The state drug testing law specifies the rights of the employers and the employees, the enactment of the law, the types of drug testing allowed, the relevant compensation and unemployment compensation provisions, the confirmatory tests, the chain of custody, the choice of laboratory and other requirements that affect the testing procedures, etc.
