THC comes under the group of cannabinoids that are potent hallucinogens. This is one of the common drugs of abuse with lowest acute toxicity. They produce psychological dependence which makes this as a drug that is hated by employers. It produces, on consumption, a dream like state with disorientation, loss of contact with reality, swaying of field of vision, distortion of images and grotesque appearance of faces. The person can read but can not understand what he is reading. This ultimately leads to decrease in productivity. There are also a lot of chances for errors to occur. This is especially serious in case of high risk and sensitive jobs where every data is important. Poppy test is commonly done by most of the employers for this purpose.
