Drug abuse is a prime contributor to homicide, suicide, motor vehicle accidents, and deaths. Alcohol abuse is directly attributed approximately to 150,000 deaths each year. Drug abuse and alcohol not only leads to these but also to premature deaths through brain damage, overdose, anemia, gastritis, and other physical problems. Studies showed that these deaths occur between the ages of 20 and 40 in persons addicted to alcohol and drugs. (more…)
