Drug addiction greatly affects the central nervous system. Treating the drug addiction is reasonably difficult because it affects the frontal cortex of the brain by the negative mechanism which acts as the site for decision making and behavior. Cognition and behavior of a person is controlled by the frontal cortex of the brain. It is found that the frontal cortex is weaker due to drug addiction whereas the normal individual brain was healthy.
