Amphetamines, one of the most addictive drugs available, are a group of active psychostimulators. They are so called because, when abused, they result in increased production of neurotransmitters in central nervous system, mainly Dopamine and Noradrenaline (norepinephrine). This activity results in increased sense of alertness, focus, energy, euphoria in the drug abused individual. It is also supposed to decrease the sense of fatigue, sleepiness and appetite in the individuals.
A small or limited amount of the drug is used to treat psychological disorders, such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFT). But if taken in high doses or without prescription, the drug is found to have very serious effects on human body. These effects may be for long term or short term.

In the past decades drug addiction has aroused the moral imperfection. As the risks of drug addiction are high, popular treatments were also implemented so as to eradicate it from the environment. Sports person are more likely to abuse drug in order to mask the pain experienced during the play and practice. The pain experienced by the sports person during practice is intolerable and may act as barrier during play. Hence to overcome the pain sports person seeks drug abuse. Drug makes the pain insensitive to the player. It masks the central nervous system which responsible for the sensing the pain. Drugs like amphetamine, narcotic acts as a good pain reliever. Amphetamines (AMP):
This is a schedule II banned drug used according to the recommendation, which is also easy to get in the illegitimate market. Barbiturates (BAR):

Benzodiazepines (BZO):
It is usually predetermined for analytical management of hostility and sleeplessness. Benzodiazepines are also used for tranquilizers in surgeries and medical practices. Frequent utilization of these drugs can lead to lift up the risk of physical addiction. Valium and Versed are examples of Benzodiazepines.
Cocaine (COC):
It is a narcotic and a vigorous stimulant for central nervous system, which brings extreme strength and edginess. This drug results into hypnotics, over-sensitivity and paroxysm. Extreme use of cocaine causes fever, tactlessness, panting problem and even coma.
Marijuana (THC):
This drug produces ecstatic effects, which mainly has Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). If they are used incessantly for longtime it causes mutilation or short-term memory loss, behavioral turmoil and slow learning.
Methamphetamine (mAMP):
Addictive stimulant drug, which kindle certain systems in the brain is closely related to the amphetamine and has higher effects than that. Consuming mAMP can have effects such as unease, psychotic behavior, drowsiness and obsession.
Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA):
It is a special drug, which was first created for curative purposes for obese people. The insensitive effects of MDMA are nervousness and sweating. Occasionally it increases blood pressure and heart rate.
