Noninvasive Cotton drug swab test

Cotton drug swab test is a very small procedure. These tests are quick and noninvasive for purposes related to pre-hire and post hire employee testing for abusive drugs and alcohol. Many varieties of drugs like nicotine, alcohol, amphetamine, morphine, phencyclidine, THC, methamphetamine, and cocaine in the saliva can be tested using swab drug test.

Swab drug testing is a single step chromatographic assay strip that helps with qualitative analysis of metabolites of nicotine, alcohol, amphetamine, morphine, phencyclidine, THC, methamphetamine, and cocaine in the saliva, mostly within the drug detection times.

The advantage with drug fact saliva test is that unlike urine there is less possibility for the sample to get adulterated. There are many urine samples that will have to be redone over again due to mistaken results regardless of the test methods adopted. Saliva tests reduce the risk of having to repeat the tests over again due to wrong results.

The collection of sample for drug fluid oral test is quite simple. The person from whom the sample has to be taken should not have taken anything to eat or drink 10 minutes before the test can be done. If the person has had something over the past 10 minutes, the person will have wait for until 10 more minutes from the time of having had something orally before they can donate the sample.

The swab drug testing is very simple; the donor to be tested will be required to place the swab sublingually, below the tongue after 10 to 15 minutes as per the instruction sheet. After the swab has absorbed the sample the swab will be put in to a small specimen vial that is sealable. The vial containing the specimen sample should be sent to the laboratory for further testing.

The sample of saliva collected in the swab in the specimen vial will be tested further by running the samples in the appropriate testing strip. It should be noted that all the specimens that are being collected for testing should be treated as infectious and should be discarded in sealed packages after the testing is over.

Until now there are no specific methods to cause detoxification of oral fluids. Though there are some detox procedures that claim that they can flush and dilute oral samples, they are just not really effective detoxification methods. It is for this reason that swab drug testing is considered a bit effective than urine testing.
