Ovulation is the process of releasing mature ovum from the ovarian follicle. Ovulation is triggered by the LH hormone produced by pituitary gland. The mature egg is now released through fallopian tube to reach sperm for fertilization. Before the ovulation takes place LH surge is produced. LH surge triggers the discharge of egg for fertilization. LH is produced through out the menstrual cycle in meager amount. Ovulation occurs in the midst of the menstrual cycle.

Ovulation test predicts the day of ovulation in your body based on the basal body temperature. Knowing the ovulation time conception will be successful. The normal fertile period starts from 4-5 days prior to ovulation and ends after 24-48 hours of ovulation. This ovulation test aids to become pregnant.
