Once a person is trapped in to Drug addiction and alcohol abuse it is difficult to overcome. It is much better to go with the “prevention is better than cure”. Yes it is better to avoid and prevent alcohol and drug abuse than treatment.

They must know about their children’s friend and keep watching over their behavior and academic progress right from kindergarten to high school. Parents should spend their time with their kids to avoid risks of abuse.

Drug awareness and abuse education programs are conducted widely and these programs are more helpful for parents to teach and care their kids. These programs are available through church, school and other community. Moreover parents should discard the prescribed medication or should keep out of their children since addiction of prescribed drug are increasing in teens.

Preventing drug abuse is more practiced in almost all homes. They are supported by drug abuse programs. Drug addiction will be successfully prevented by these programs.
