Marijuana – overview

Marijuana is a combination of the dehydrated and ragged leaves, stems, seeds, and flowers of the cannabis sativa plant. The blend can be of the following color green, brown, or gray.

The active ingredient or chemical in marijuana is delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol which is called as THC. Apart from THC, about 400 chemicals are present in marijuana that could spoil the user’s health. THC is the mind altering component which is simply referred to as psychoactive. Actually, marijuana’s power or effectiveness is correlated to the quantity of THC it contains. The active ingredient activates the brain cells to release the dopamine. Dopamine is responsible for the pleasure feeling. At the major point of view it affects the brain cells.
