Drug addiction is a condition where a person gets addicted to the use of an illicit drug. The effects of drug addiction are severe. They have both physiological effects and psychological effects. Addictive drugs like heroin, cocaine, morphine, nicotine, etc react with one’s brain and alter the way they function. The abusive drugs reach the brain and affect the cells underlying the motivation aspects of a person.
