Drug addiction in drivers and its effect in work place

Drug addictions in drivers are most familiar in the drug addiction issues. Drug addicted drivers are now banned from work and they are not issued with license. Drug addiction in driving is one of the illegal offensive acts. Drug addicted drivers are running their life and also the passengers life.

It is been estimated that thousands of people are killed due to drug addicted road accidents in highways. Not only are they addicted to drugs and also alcohol. A drug intoxicates during driving and leads to accidents. Law has been enforced to avoid drug addiction while driving in order to save the life’s of people.

Every one is aware of the effects of drug abused driving even though it is happening in day to day life. A good number of private agencies, federal government and others have united together to fight against drug abused driving.

Drug testing is implemented for drivers. Before they get licenses they are tested for drugs and alcohol. Only if they pass the alcohol and drug test they are issued with license.

Many drug testing centers are implemented in highways in order to prevent the road accidents. The drug testing in national highways include breathalyzer test, oral drug test, saliva swab drug test, corporate drug testing and mandatory drug testing.

It is quite difficult to predict the metabolism of drug in an individual. Hence the drug addictions in drivers have adverse effect resulting in death. Even if the y consume before two or three hours before the travel they are supposed to have effects in later time in travelling. The medication which includes caffeine, ephedrine and pseudo ephedrine should be avoided by drivers. Moreover they should avoid pain killers, sleeping pills and other tranquillizers while driving in order to prevent accidents. Prevent road accidents by ceasing drug addiction.
