Drug abuse in teenager

Teenagers are the first victim for the drugs followed by elder people. Teenagers are getting attracted towards the illicit drugs because of their discovery enthusiasm towards new things. Drugs are one such new material which tempts them to use it. Cause of teenage drug abuse includes family stress, heavy work at school, attraction and so on. Lot of drugs is available in various street names to attract teen agers.

The common street names for various drugs are as follows

Amphetamine – speed, amp, hi, chalk, uppers, black beauties, speed balls, eve, beans, hi balls.

Methamphetamine – crystal, meth, ice, bergs, ice berg, ecstasy, MDEA and speed.

Opiates – horse, smack, scag, fix and Jones.

Barbiturates – downers, uppers, highway, lows, red, barbs, trangs.

PCP – angel dust, start dust, magic dust, silver/gold glitters.

Present day’s hot news is about teenager’s drug addiction. Drugs are rapidly spreading like fire among teenagers as they are easily exposed to the illicit drugs and prescribed pills. Once they have fallen in to the trap of drug it is quite tough to get rid of drugs.
