Drug Abuse And Pre-Mature Death – Drug Testing Reports

Drug abuse is a prime contributor to homicide, suicide, motor vehicle accidents, and deaths. Alcohol abuse is directly attributed approximately to 150,000 deaths each year. Drug abuse and alcohol not only leads to these but also to premature deaths through brain damage, overdose, anemia, gastritis, and other physical problems. Studies showed that these deaths occur between the ages of 20 and 40 in persons addicted to alcohol and drugs.

The most alarming trend is the increased frequency in use of drugs by the younger generation. Children tend to develop life-long dependent problems due to drug abuse. Every day, studies show that three thousand children become addicted to cigarette smoking regularly and as a result the number of premature deaths has been increased.

Early drug use leads to various forms of unhealthy and unproductive behavior. Drug abuse is related to premature sexual activity with accompanying risk of HIV.

Drug related medical emergencies are alarming these days. They remain at a historic high. The numbers of emergency department episodes have been considerably elevated due to drug abuse. Studies state that two and a half million people were not aware of that alcohol overdose leads to premature death.

Every one must take a commitment in reducing the drug abuse and should not think that it is someone else’s concern.
