Breathalyzer device is used to detect the level of alcohol abused in the suspected people .breathalyzer is also called as Alco sensor. Alcohol test is carried out randomly in drivers in order to avoid road accidents. Highway accidents and vehicular accidents are one of the hot news in day to day life. There are three types of alcohol testing tool based on different principles. They are breathalyzer, intoxilyzer, alcosensor III or IV. Breathalyzer is composed of very simple system which requires breathe as the sample from the suspected person. A device consists of two glass vials containing chemical mixtures in it. Color change in the mixture is measured by the meter connected to the photocell. Presence of alcohol in the sample will react with chemical mixture and produce efficient color change. Basically the tube containing chemical mixture is a disposable one. The yellow color crystal in the disposal tube will convert in to green up on the reaction with alcohol. The amount of alcohol abused will be displayed in the meter.
Traffic police and police squad in high will check for the alcohol abuse in drivers by using breathalyzer. Breathalyzer could detect the accurate level of alcohol in a person. This device aids to detect the blood alcohol concentration in the drunken people. Breathalyzer result is very accurate as lab test. Because of Breathalyzer accuracy this device is widely accepted and is used extensively in most of the areas to detect blood alcohol level.

The accuracy of the breathalyzer is widely recognized by law enforcement. It is so accurate that it is not recommended by DUI lawyers as the first choice method for measuring blood alcohol levels. They advise giving a urine sample over the breathalyzer because the test is more likely to be in the drivers favor. The best way to prevent driving while intoxicated is to know how many ounces of alcohol it would take to render a level over the legal limit.
