Question Is drug testing at home really that simple?
Answer Yes, it is. All it takes is a few minutes with our rapid drug testing products. All you need to know is the difference between one red line and two!
Question What do you mean by a rapid drug test?
Answer A drug alcohol test is a diagnostic test that very quickly gives you the results that show whether or not you have the presence of a specific drug in your body. If the test shows up one red line, it means it’s a positive result. Two red lines mean it’s negative.
Question. Why should I use a rapid drug test?
Answer You can use a drug alcohol test to ensure privacy. This is very useful in a variety of situations – at home, school, place of work, pre-employment, after accidents, random testing for drugs, etc.
Question. What are the different drugs your tests are meant for?
Answer Our tests can be used to determine the presence of the following drugs of abuse:
- Amphetamines (AMP)
- Barbituates (BAR)
- Benzodiazepines (BZO)
- Buprenorphine(Suboxone)
- Cocaine (COC)
- Ecstacy (MDMA)
- Marijuana (THC)
- Met amphetamines (mAMP)
- Methadone (MTD)
- Phencyclidine (PCP)
- Opiates (OPI)
- Oxycodone (OXY)
- Tricyclics Antidepressants (TCA)
Question. Do you stock different types of drug testing products?
Answer We have a wide range of drug testing products on offer – from single-drug tests to multi-drug tests. Why, some of our products can test for 10 categories of drugs in one test! We have a number of permutations and combinations.
Question. Could you tell me how to use your drug testing products?
Answer It’s so easy – all you do is take a sample specimen and either dip the test card in it or collect the specimen in the integrated cup. Then wait a few minutes and read the results.
Question. How do these rapid drug tests actually work?
Answer Rapid drug tests detect the presence of drug metabolites in the urine in minutes. When a detection strip is dipped into a urine specimen, the urine reacts with the reagents and antigens on the strip and produces a color reading so you can interpret a positive or negative result.
Question. What are the various drug testing methods employed?
Answer You can determine the presence of drugs in a person’s body by testing his urine, blood, saliva or hair. Urine is the easiest and the most established method of testing. drug onsite Alcohol tests mean you have the results in minutes! Otherwise, you could have it tested in a laboratory. Here, they use the Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry method. They usually take a blood sample and the tests are accurate.
More recently, saliva is being used to test for the presence of drugs, so also hair.
Question. What is the difference between a Dip Card Test and an Integrated Cup Test?
Answer The Dip Card is dipped into a urine specimen to obtain results. A cup is a convenient method of testing where the specimen is collected in the cup and tested there as well. There is no handling of the specimen.
Question. What happens if no Control Line appears when you do the test?
Answer This means it is invalid. It would also mean it is imperative that you repeat the test. Very often, this is due to insufficient urine specimen. Because of not enough fluid, the test could have yielded an invalid result.
Question. What should I do if I tear open a packet with the test inside and I’m not ready to do the test?
Answer You will need to discard the test as the ingredients in the product react with moisture. This is why every product comes packed with a moisture-absorbent pack. Once the pack has been opened, it is advisable that you do the test immediately or else, throw away the test.
Question. Are your integrated tests as effective as your dip card tests?
Answer Maybe more so as it is a one-step process. The cup makes it possible to collect and test in one step without the need to handle the urine.

Question Do you have a wide range?
Answer We have a wide range that covers most drugs of abuse. We have these in various deliverables like test strips and cups. Take a look at the range we offer!
Question Can one test be used for all the possible drugs of abuse?
Answer No, it cannot. Each drug needs a specific test. We do offer multi-drug tests – up to 10 drugs can be tested at a time.
Question Are your multi-drug tests absolutely reliable?
Answer They are as reliable as can be. However, it is always better to confirm a result with a laboratory test.
Question In a multi-drug test, how will I know which drug tests positive?
Answer Each panel shows the positive or negative result for a particular drug or drug category. So you know at a glance which drug you have tested positive for if there is one red line on the test strip.

Question How accurate are your drug-testing products?
Answer Our products are reliable. Our urine tests are United States FDA-approved. Laboratory testing has revealed that they are over 95% accurate. However, it is always advisable to get results confirmed by a laboratory.
Question Are these rapid drug tests as accurate as the GC/MS methods?
Answer It is always better to confirm results of these rapid drug tests with a laboratory test. But these tests have an advantage – you get your answers almost at once. They are very reliable and satisfy the specifications of most drug screening programs.
Question What methods do the laboratories use to confirm the tests?
Answer Laboratories use the Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry method which gives accurate results. However, this involves going there and giving your blood to have it tested.
Question Can the results of these rapid drug tests hold up in court?
Answer No. You must have a more specific test like the GS/MS test done for it to hold up in court.
Question If I receive a positive drug test result, what should I do?
Answer Confirm that it is indeed positive through a laboratory test.
Question Is it possible that the rapid drug test shows positive but the laboratory test negative?
Answer Yes, if there is some ingredient which the drug test reacts to. A laboratory method will then look for the specific substance that caused the test to show positive.

Question: Are there any medications which I might be taking that can cause a positive result?
Answer: Yes, you might. The common culprit is Pseudoephedrine which is found in many OTC products and in cold and sinus medications. So you will need a laboratory confirmation as well as an MRO review by your physician to determine the source.
Question: Will substances that I use regularly like vitamins, penicillin, aspirin and caffeine affect the results in any way?
Answer: No - because our rapid drug tests react to drugs and drug metabolites, not to these substances which have a different chemical structure.
Question: If a drug test shows positive, can it be proved how long ago the drug was taken?
Answer: Saliva, urine and blood only show up a positive or negative result, not how long ago a drug has been taken.
Question: Do you think I could test positive for marijuana (THC) from exposure to second-hand smoke?
Answer: No you cannot as the urine concentration, if any, will be way below the cut-off level.

Question: What are laboratory oral and urine tests?
Answer: These are tests that are sent to a laboratory for more accurate testing for the presence of substances in the saliva or urine.
Question: What is the procedure?
Answer: A detailed Chain of Custody (CoC) file is maintained about the specimen right from the time of collection to testing and reporting. This involves signatures of the donor, the collector, the courier and the laboratory personnel involved.
Question: What is the procedure at the laboratory?
Answer: Here, the specimen undergoes a two-tiered testing procedure. The first is a screening process done by immunoassay. If the specimen tests positive, it then goes through what is called the confirmation test which means it is tested using mass spectrometry, which is very precise but expensive.
Question: How do we get the results?
Answer: The laboratory gets back to us with the results in 48 to 72 hours. They will not discuss the results directly with the specimen donor. You can log on to our web site and view the results. Or, you can call our toll-free number xxxxxx or email us at info@drugalcoholtest.com. Please provide us with your contact details.
